Okinawa has several islands where we can go diving. Each island has its high seasons, for this reason it is possible to make a diving trip throughout the year to a different destination to perform different dives being able to see shoals of hammerhead sharks, manta rays, tornado jackfish, diving in large caves and adventures to beautiful corals super alive full of fish.

Yonaguni Island
Season: January to March
Yonaguni Island is located at the westernmost point of Japan. The main style of diving here is drift diving with entry by boat. The Yonaguni Monument, which was discovered in 1986 by a local diver Kihachiro Aratake, is one of the best spots here. There is still debate over whether the underwater ruins at Yonaguni are natural or manmade, but either way it is still an unforgettable sight to see!
Also, if you have ever dreamt about diving with huge schools of scalloped hammerhead sharks, this is one of the few places in the world where you can! The rush of adrenaline you will feel when you suddenly see more than 100 hammerhead sharks all at once is unbeatable.
Iheya & Izena Island
Best season: April to November
Aguni Island is located 60 km northwest of Naha on the island of Okinawa in the East China Sea. It has an area of 7.64 km².
In late April to early July it is possible to see the Bigeye Trevally tornado. The tornado can measure 10m in height.
The best month to see the tornado is May to June.

Ishigaki Island, the commercial hub of the Yaeyama Islands located in the Okinawa District of southwest Japan, is known for its beaches and snorkeling, diving and surfing spots.
Diving on Ishigaki Island is famous for having great chances of seeing Manta in its cleaning stations, being able to see a Manta up close that measures around 2 m.
Yoron Island
Best season: June to October
Yoron Island, one of the Amami Islands of Kagoshima State. Yoron Island has an area of 20.8 km² with 5,000 people inhabited and receives from 6,000 to 7,000 tourists every year.
The dive sites are divided into two areas, north and south of Yoron Island. It is possible to dive all year round, but it depends on the type of dive you are looking for.
ie Island
Best season: June to October
Ie Island, located in the northern region of the Okinawa main island, the only access is by a 30-minute ferry from Motobu region to the island. Ie Island has an American military base with an airport that perform daily skydiving training.
The high season dives are the incredible cavern, but the shallow part is full of table coral with lots of small colorful fish.
Ishigaki Island
Best season: September to October

Miyako Island
Season: November to March
Miyako Island famous for its beautiful, big and deep caverns.
The most popular caverns are only accessible in winter when the wind is from the north leaving the southern part of the island calm and perfect for diving.
Access to Miyako Island is by flight with a 50-minute flight from Naha Airport to Miyako Island.
Kume Island
Season: All year round
Kume Island, can be visited for year-round diving, access by ferry for 3 hours 30 minutes or by plane for 30 minutes.
Kume Island is located approximately 100 kilometers west of Naha. The dives are amazing with different types of diving. Diving in seawalls, diving in rocks, corals, big life and macro life.
