The main island of Okinawa is larger than it might seem, covering 1,206.96 square kilometers. At Aloha Divers Okinawa, we recommend staying in the best region to fully enjoy your dives and explore the island.

 

If you plan to dive for multiple days or won’t be renting a car in Okinawa, I suggest staying in the Chatan or Kadena area. Chatan is a popular region with beaches, a variety of restaurants, and convenient transportation options. Most importantly, it’s close to our dive shop. If you’re staying in Chatan or Kadena, we offer free pick-up on your dive day.

 

Chatan is about a 35-minute drive from Naha, while Kadena is approximately 42 minutes away. Staying in these areas makes it much easier to dive and enjoy your downtime in between.
